Your words brought Heaven to Earth

Today , I have decided to read and study the book of James. James who is a half-brother of Jesus Christ. Who after resurrection of Jesus pursuing and following the Christ’ way and became a believer. His book is five chapters and so much wisdom into it , as they call the proverbs of the new Testament.

I am going to share a few of views of James with you. As there is so much to talk about in his writings. I borrowed two books from the library to search and learn more about his writings. Two books I am reading are : 1- How to be a mature Christian (wisdom of the book of James) by Marilyn Hickey. 2- James , Faith in action by Rick Hufton .

Both of them are rich books and something you can learn.

The Power of the tongue. Do you know how vital is the way you speak to people ? Your word can shake a city and your word can move the mountains. In another side your word can destroy a city and your word can build someone up.

This is your choice how you speak to others. That’s where the book of James is in the heart of the Bible. James who seems to be the pastor of Jerusalem Church is so concern about Faith and Action . Which in my pervious post I talked about the Faith. Saying right words and keeping it right is our action.

There are so many Christians out there they can not control their tongues. Probably we remember this that : Sticks and stones may break my bones , but names will never hurt me ”

Do you know that : death and life are in the power of the tongue?(Proverbs 18:21). for sure you heard or read this scripture many times , ” Be slow in speak “.

The word you are about to say is very important. Bible says the tongue is a fire. The world smallest but largest troublemaker. We need to understand the power and effects the tongue can have. James describing a person how to be wise in the way we speak.

We talked about the wonder of the tongue but in the other hand it would be a wonderful thing. With that we can bless God our father. We can praise Him. We can bless others and tell about the great things of God. we can turn a curse to bless. How is that important ?

James knows who is talking to. He gave them a challenge :” Who among you is wise and understanding? ” He is telling them your early wisdom is nothing compares to heavenly wisdom.  Still jealousy and arrogance not completely are away from us. A true wisdom manifests itself in good deeds and specially in meekness.

James is saying : ” your words control your mind , your emotions and your physical body ”

So do not be afraid speak what God’s word says about your situation. God’s word is a tree of life. which grow more and more and bring more fruit. This is not the wold decision , this is not that destiny that this world chosen for you. neither of them , This is the word of God will determine your success. As you speak his word, you also bring others in Christlikeness.

The more confident  we are in God and his Word. The more hope we have for the future. We can speak life to our situation. We can speak boldly the power of the Holy Spirit is in work within us.

Peace and harmony will be the gift of those whom greatly keep their tongue pure.

A true wisdom is pure , peaceabe , gentle , reasonable , full of mercy and good fruits , unwavering and without Hypocrisy. And above all a true wisdom is holy.

Indeed this is true from Rick Hufton : ” True wisdom is not measured by how much information is in a person’s head, or how well they can quote a creed. True wisdom can only be measured by a person’s life, in how they live and what kinds of words they allow to come out of their mouths . ”

Let us not be double-tongued. Let us bless others with out tongues. When you try to speak life to others suddenly you will see change in yourself.  Let answer everyone with purity. Let the Holy Spirit say to you the words you need to tell to everyone.

Psalmist says : ” Let them ever sing for joy”

For sure our God, Himself protect you.
