Today we celebrated my Mum’s birthday . And it reminded me that what a gift God has given to humanity. I know some of us may have not have a good experience from our Parents ( rarely ) . But they are an angels, They are God given treasure to us honestly. Every word your mum and dad said to you they are good for you and take it as a wisdom – Do not let the doubt of this world or modernism pass it. Or you may say they are unmodern – You may say they are thinking old – In whatever scenario you make in your mind. You need to respect and love them as you are about to listen to them.
Respecting means do what they told you to do – Respecting means love them in the way they are. Bible says
“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. ” [ Exodus 20:12 ESV ]
You are always a child for your parents regardless what age you are in. They see you as their only chid. The love of God is like more than like that- God sees you as his child. The only child. How much we need to obey our heavenly father . Mums are great – Dads are awesome.. Parents are a gift . They are chosen to be your head. So obey them and you will be blessed and have a long life. Regardless what they did to you ( not-good or good ) . You love them. Know that they have been appointed at this time of our time – be our mentors.
“Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. ” [ Colossians 3:20 ESV ]
I enjoyed to read – one of the blogger called beautybeyondbones that how she wonderfully look after her mum during her sick time. God’s eyes somehow is to those who honour their earthly mum and dad. You are the one who has been loved by them. Now it is time for us to love them. keep them in high priority.
Jesus loved mum when she was on hanged on the cross :
” When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. “[John 19:26-27]
Jesus has a special heart for mothers – We can take an example here ” Behold, your mum ” – it means look after her- listen to her , obey her – love her , be close as mum to her, be a provider for her, don’t forget her , pray for her , do shopping for her. Because she milked you – she looked after you till you grown up – she cooked for you , she washed your cloths – she fed you – she sing for you – she took you to those places you never been before- she welcomed you to this world – oh so much more…
I do not need reason to love them- their presence is a blessing for me and I love them unreasonably as their love toward me is unconditionally. I am their darling son – they are my hero.
You are the real champion when you honour your parents!
