Hi friend,

It’s so easy to get lost in the darkness and wonder why any of suffering is happening. But what if there’s more to it? What if, even in our deepest suffering, we can find a flicker of purpose? In today’s post , I’ll encourage you to stay on path and you’ll find the Light.

Finding Light in the Dark

I’ve come to realise that sometimes, the hardest experiences are the ones that shape us the most profoundly. They can strip away the non-essentials and show us what truly matters. Perhaps it’s in our vulnerability that we discover an inner strength we never knew we possessed. As Viktor Frankl wrote, “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances.” This isn’t about pretending the pain isn’t real, but about choosing our response to it.

When we look for meaning, even a tiny bit, it changes our perspective. It might be learning compassion for others going through similar struggles, or discovering a new path for our own life. The Bible tells us in Romans 5:3-4, “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” This journey isn’t easy, but seeing how trials can forge something beautiful within us can truly be transformative. Keep an open heart, even when it feels broken. You’ll get there.
