With a heart full of expectation and anticipation that God will speak to and through me, I’m attending Hillsong Conference Sydney this year(7-9 July)! I’ve set aside two full days for the conference—words, worship, masterclasses, and above all, looking to God, who is bigger and greater than everything.
I’m truly blessed to be going to this conference—not out of obligation, but from a deep desire to be refreshed through worship, and with a soul thirsty to receive more in a season where the world around us is affecting what’s within us.
As much as I care about the world around me, I need to look after the world within me. I need to keep it pure and clear. On the other side of that, I’ll be bringing my requests with fasting and prayer, in a place where thousands of believers gather to seek His will, His face, and His divine direction for their daily lives.
To be honest, this is my first Hillsong Conference as an attendee. I was there many years ago as a volunteer, but this year the atmosphere will be different for me—focusing on God, shedding a few tears, confessing, and receiving His loving care, so that I can be a a man of God person to others. Only by receiving from Him can I be charged and ready for the mission He has called me to.
Sydney will look different to me during those days: to know His will, to ask Him, and to pursue Him, saying, “God, I am here—speak to me.”
It’s time to slow down. Let Jesus Christ wash away any uncertainty, and let Him bring wisdom and understanding in every path I take. I want His will for my future wife. I want His will as I build a family. I want His will for my serving, for my family and friends, for my country, and for my city. I want His will to be done on earth.
I will go to God with a confessing heart, and I will return with a thankful heart. I won’t say, “God, I want this and that,” but rather, as I said, “Your will.” This conference is set to be different for me. I declare and reaffirm my need for Him in my life, and I recognise, “I need Jesus,” every single day—again and again. I’ll be right there to see how God will change my heart, listening for the small, still voice of the Holy Spirit that changes everything from the inside out.
I’m writing this with a heart full of gratitude. I’ll pray for my brothers and sisters around the world—those who are suffering because of their pure faith in Jesus. I pray for peace in the world and for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. And I pray for you, my dear friend who is reading this post right now, that God would speak to you and be with you wherever you go!
Let me say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I am truly blessed to have you here. Let’s connect—comment, and if you have any prayer requests, send them to me through the “Contact Me” page. And if you can share this, please do—otherwise, just comment below.
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
Your Friend
