Hello, friend!

Let’s chat about something many of us grapple with: reading the Bible consistently. Life here in Australia can get pretty busy, can’t it? Between work, family, and all the daily bits and bobs, finding quiet time often feels like a luxurious dream.

Finding Your Rhythm

I’ve realised over the years that consistency isn’t about perfection; it’s about showing up. Even a few minutes each day can make a massive difference to your outlook. The Bible isn’t just an old book; it’s a living source of wisdom and peace, offering guidance for our everyday behaviour. It’s like having a compass when you feel a bit lost. As Psalm 119:105 reminds us, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” This beautiful truth helps illuminate our journey.

Start Small, Keep Going

Perhaps the trick is to start small. Don’t try to read an entire book in one sitting if that feels overwhelming. Try just one chapter, or even a few verses, from a Gospel like John, or a Proverb. Find a time that works for you, whether it’s with your morning cuppa or before you hit the hay. If you miss a day, don’t stress or give up; just pick it up again tomorrow. The goal isn’t a flawless record, but a genuine connection. This regular engagement helps nourish your soul and gives you something solid to lean on.

It’s about building a habit, little by little, that brings you closer to understanding God’s heart for you.
