Trusting God with your children

Trusting God with your children

Entrusting our children to God’s care is a daily act of surrender for parents. We naturally want to protect them from every hurt and misstep. This protective instinct can sometimes morph into an overwhelming need for control. It’s a beautiful, yet demanding, part of a parent’s journey to navigate. Remember Proverbs 22:6, which encourages us to ‘Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.’ This isn’t just about teaching them; it’s also about realising God’s ultimate guidance.

Letting Go, Trusting More

Releasing our grip on their future allows God to work in ways we might never imagine. It means stepping back and trusting His perfect plan for their lives. This trust brings a profound sense of peace to anxious hearts. Our role is to nurture, guide, and pray, knowing He holds them securely. It’s about having faith that He loves them even more deeply than we do. Finding solace in His sovereignty truly transforms our daily behaviour. This isn’t always easy, but it’s a freeing and essential part of our parenting walk.
