Moses’s life is a powerful example of God using an ordinary man for extraordinary purposes. From a baby hidden in reeds to a prince, then a shepherd, his early days showed little sign of the immense task ahead. God chose him, despite his humble beginnings and self-doubt, to deliver an entire nation from slavery. His journey was anything but smooth, filled with immense challenges and the constant grumbling of the people he led. It required incredible patience and trust.
God’s Unwavering Presence
Imagine facing down Pharaoh or parting a sea; these weren’t feats of human strength but of divine power working through a willing heart. Moses realised God was with him every step, providing manna in the desert and water from rocks. “The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend.” (Exodus 33:11). This intimate connection gave him the courage to persevere, even when things felt impossible. It demonstrates God’s profound faithfulness to those He has called.
Moses’s story reminds us that God equips those He calls. Our past doesn’t define our potential when God has a plan. He uses our weaknesses to display His strength, always leading us with a loving hand, even when we feel completely unqualified.
