God’s desire for our well-being is clear throughout the scriptures. He is consistently presented as a healer, someone who cares deeply about our whole person. This isn’t just about physical ailments; it extends to emotional wounds, spiritual brokenness, and the deep hurts life can inflict.
When we open the Bible, we realise countless stories of restoration. Jesus, during his time on Earth, spent so much of his ministry healing people. He touched the sick, cast out demons, and brought comfort to the grieving. His compassion was boundless. He truly exemplified God’s heart for us to be whole.
It’s encouraging to remember that this healing power isn’t just for ancient times. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We can bring our pain, our struggles, and our brokenness to Him, knowing He listens. As Psalm 103:2-3 beautifully reminds us, “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.”
Healing with God might not always look how we expect or happen instantly. Sometimes it’s a gradual process, a slow mending of the soul. Other times, it’s a profound, immediate intervention. What always remains constant is His presence and His unfailing love. Trusting in Him through the healing process is key to finding peace.
