Sunday Devotion 12 April 2020 / HE has Risen

He is not here! He has Risen.

He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Mathew 28 : 6

Those words of Angel at the tomb of Jesus were shocking to the ears of the women. Early , on Sunday morning the biggest miracle of human had happened. A big victory for our souls! He rose from death , He is alive now and forever.

The resurrection Sunday brought a life full of excitement, and the dead bones of mine got life in it. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.(John 3 :17). I am thanking God that His Son Saved me. Jesus meant this by dying and raising from the death.

Saturday Devotion 11 April 2020 / The Saturday of Silence

” Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” ( Matt 27 : 46 )

That was the last words of Jesus on the Cross.

There was darkness over all the land. It was a different time of the year. A time that whole humanity were waiting for to happen. Father knew that time. But it was a time of silence for Him. Saturday of Silence was so heavier than before.

Jesus’s words echoes into heaven. I am reading the Bible and these words are echoing into my heart. But this echo, is echo of resurrection and victory over the sin. Jesus brought this to this new generation. Our 21 century , our 22 century – all centuries need Jesus and his victory.

That darkness was not  the end of line – But the empty tomb shown lightness to all of us. Brought hope to our hopeless life. Brought life to our lifeless bodies. Brought light to our darkness nights. The Saturday of Silence.

Thank you Jesus for your life, Thank you that you died on the cross for me. Thank you for your endless forgiveness and love. I am so glad that the waiting will be over on Sunday morning / the day of your resurrection. The next day of Silence will bring new life. The old will be gone and new will come.

Friday Devotion 10 April 2020 / At the Cross

20200405_001152.jpg

Jesus has been Crucified on the cross. This is a day Jesus died on the cross for me and you and for the all humanity. His passion , His mission , His life saved us today for an eternal life with him. At the cross , we see a victory , A good Jesus who never fails . Let us read from Mother Teresa as she called it ” Prayer of the stations of the Cross”

” Jesus lives His Passion today in the suffering, in the hungry, in the handicapped- in that child who eats a piece of bread crumb, because when that piece of bread is finished, there will be no more, and hunger will come again. There is a station of the cross. Let us be there , Lord, with that child.

Jesus lives His passion today in the thousands who die not only for a piece of bread, but for a little bit of love, of recognition. That is a station of the cross. Let us be there, Lord, with those who are dying for love.

Jesus lives His passion today in the fall of the young people who, as jesus did, fall again and again. Let us be there Lord.

Jesus lives His passion today in the homeless people in the parks , the alcoholics and the drug-addicted. Let us not be on of those who look and do not see. Instead , Lord, let us be there at that station of the cross.

  • At Prayer with Mother Teresa , Eileen Egan

Meditate the Cross of Jesus, His passion , His love , His life and let us be there at that station of the cross.

Thursday Devotion , 9 April 2020 / Rejoice

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
Philippians 4:4 ESV

This is a full delight to unbroken gladness in the Lord. This kind of delight have Joy in the sorrow too. We are called to rejoice in sadness and happiness. Yes , we cry with those are crying , we smile and laughter with those are happy. We have Joy in the Lord regardless of the circumstances . A full eternal joy within. St.Paul is telling to Philippians, ” always have our heavenly Father divine presence of Joy within you , I am telling you have this joy. And be very glad for his glory.”

2 year ago in my post “keep smiling joy is our portion ” I encouraged all to have Joy season in and out.

When the pain hit us hard and wants to steal our heart, have Joy , in another word St.Paul is saying to us. Mostly Joy comes with peace as Romans 15 : 13 talks about it. We have this great reason to feel joy , and to be very delighted. And no one here on earth can take this away from us. This bundle of Joy is for us as the follower of Christ. We have Joy of the Lord , we have Him , we have whom has created the all things. We have his peace with full assurance of His Glory.

Let’s meditate on this . B e S t i l l and talk to God. Let Him know How much his presence gives you Joy and Peace. Then reJoy’c in it.

Tuesday Devotion 7 April 2020 / It is good we are here

And Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.”
Mark 9: 5
On Mount of transfiguration , Peter, James and John with Jesus there. JESUS face is shining like no other. He suddenly suggested to make tent. It is back to us , we feel good , we feel alright , we feel to tell God whats the best for us. The reality is God knows what our needs are. He knows How rescue us. He knows what our world really need now. Our only place to lean on is Jesus and Listen to Him. His shining face would be enough for all of us. Me , and you and each one of us need Jesus. To make us more humble. To take away our pride and make us more like Himself.
Yes it is good that we are with Jesus on mountain top. What’s stopping us to loving him more ? As nothing can and will separate us from the Love of God. Let’s meditate on this word , what would you say to Jesus when you are with Him on the Mount of transfiguration?

Friday Devotion , 3 April 2020 / Brightness

20200405_001152.jpg

I am certain of this, God’s open door, would be a way of light into my world. I can confess that I am blind in most things, although I can see with the normal eyes , but my spiritual eyes need to be equipped. Yes , I need spiritual eyes to see the light of things around. My only guidance , Jesus, help me to see the things I need to see. I need Godly sight to be led in a way of Him.

As Jesus said the greatest one among you must be your servant. To be that , my servanthood character need change , need humbleness and requires brightness within me. Not empty word , I need to be bright to my self , learning to make my days bright , in that way I can shine for heaven and earth.

Then, strange things will be put aside. A brave heart must be made within me. A strong Godly peace which came from the Holy Spirit changes me inside out. To be a bright person here , in this time of history. I am His and He is mine.
