1- Promise to be Brave
God wants you to be brave. So take the first step of faith and let your fear disappear in a sudden time. You can be bold, and you can be substantial; who said you could not? Just hold it firm, the journey may be shaky a bit, but you can walk through it happier than before. The Bible says, ” You take courage.” It did not tell you to take fear; no, you made to be brave.
2- Promise to do Right
You are not only trying to do right – but it is your human obligation to do right. So we do the right thing when we are at work, and we do right when we are with the family at home, we do right when we are everywhere. We called to do right, not to be right only. Being right is far away from doing right. So don’t worry about others – you do right, and the rest will be in place for you.
3- Promise to follow Jesus, no matter what.
The innermost promise to yourself. No matter what you feel, No matter where you would be and no matter what season of life you are iP – We will follow Jesus. So, Keeping God first and most – is the most top priority of our life. So it would be for every Christ-follower; they don’t follow the world and its desire, but Jesus- He is the centre of everything we do and have. The world we live in may not understand this fully, but we have the Holy Spirit to lead us through all days. Can you keep the promise in your heart?
4- Promise not to Give up
Never give up; life is hard and harsh – and that is a reality. There are loads of encouragement videos and podcasts, and books out there to lift your spirit. Don’t give up on your dreams. One day all your beautiful dreams will come true- If they desired for a good and loving way – God will open the doors for you. It may seem like nothing happening, but you do push and try again. No pain, no gain. Don’t dare give up on your faith, Don’t dare give up on God. It is time to hear him directly – it is enough to hear from this and that person; Go to him and listen to what God says to you. Can you be a person of consistency?
5- Promise not to cease Praying
Pray, Pray and Pray – Even no answer appears. But, prayer can unlock some fantastic doors in your life. So, keep the prayer first of things, not last. The God who created you love to hear from you. He is so humble to listen to our little praying. He answers all your prayer in cry and laughter. So, go to your room, Go to the park, go for a walk, on the way in your heart, wherever you are, pray and see how God opens the door for you? Can you promise to yourself say a few words each day to God?
6- Promise to be Active (physically and spiritually )
It is time to be involved; keeping yourself moving is excellent for your physical well-being and helps unwind your mind. Spiritually activities are praying, reading the Bible, going to church, fellowship with other believers. Train your physical and spiritual muscles by practising.
7- Promise to be thankful/grateful which what I have and what I don’t.
Let it be always in our lips and heart- ” I am thankful”, ” I am grateful”. You do not need to do or be someone or somewhere to give thanks; you can give thanks right now; it does not matter which family you grew or growing – God put you there for a reason, Thank him, be grateful for your situation in your life. I know you hear it a lot, but honestly, He has a good plan for you. Thank God.
8- Promise to keep Faith Hope and Love
All comes together now, most importantly, Love. So keep these three in harmony. Have faith, keep Hope and love more. Faith to who? God saved you, that God is for you and sent his Son, Jesus, to rescue you. So keep Hope; what? Keep Hope that a great future is ahead of you and behind, that Jesus will return, that you have eternity with Him. Love more to who?
Everyone: Love friend and enemy, Love all, Love God.
9- Promise to keep improving/learn/grow and upskill in all area of my life
Does any course out there to help me? Could you do it? Does any skill you need to learn? Please do it. Do something to improve – what didn’t you know last year but you can learn this year? Always push forward; I know we can do it to a greater degree.
10- Promise to Love God with all my heart, soul and mind and love my neighbour as myself
Although Love came in the promise eight lists, Love God with all my heart, soul and mind keeps all other promises in balance. Do your best to return to God if any mistake happened. Do your best to love Him. Do your best to draw Him close to you. Not on the surface only – but with all your loving God. One of the most important promises you can gift to yourself and find out what pleases God and do it.
