Take Courage

Unfortunately, the world going in the wrong way. As time goes pass by, we see this is a reality. I am not here to tell us how worse things are but to remind us how beautiful things can be. Indeed, things change, human change, their preferences changes, their style of life changes, group changes, everything around us are gradually changing. In all changes in and around us, I think God gave us a mission to be the agent of courage. An agent of courage must be patient as God himself is unchangeable.
Saint James said, “Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.” In this circle of change, God whispering, “Do not worry, take courage, I do NOT change “. Courage means to preserve and withstand danger, fear or difficulty, as Merriam Webster defined. If you are under threat, take courage; if you are in fear, take courage; if you are in the wave of difficulty, take courage. The medal of bravery sealed in your heart, not around your neck.

Real Courage

If you are in the middle of the desert of your life, please take courage – the darkness won’t stay forever. We all were there, some less- some more. Don’t let anyone look you down. They are not into your story, and they do not know- please forgive them and let the river of your heavenly Creator flow through you that they may know who you trust in your heart. Courage means saving yours from the battle of the enemy by trusting Jesus. Some thinking, courage means you need to save thousands of people. Or you have to keep a nation or country, although all other great things – are perfect. Real courage means to call upon the name of the Lord in the middle of difficulty. Of course, King David was brave to go to fight with Goliath. He was couraged to trust God – that the Lord of all armies will assist you on this. Sow courage in your heart and come to the table of the Lord. This heavenly food you need for your life, here and above.
“Be of good courage, and let us be courageous for our people, and for the cities of our God, and may the Lord do what seems good to him.”/2 Samuel 10:12

Can you be of good courage? Not only for yours also for the people, for the cities. The Lord is the source of all good courage.

  1. HI Dariush! Yes, your writing is inspiring. I remember discussing courage in an RCIA program one year, years back. A decorated veteran somehow thought I was disparaging courage and he quickly began to talk about the courage he and others had in combat. These were very moving stories. After, I explained to him that military courage is wonderful and necessary and we will always be thankful for our combat veterans. But for us, those Baptized and to be Baptized, courage is about moral courage. “Moral courage” is the ability to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal, or
discouragement. So you brought about fond memories and a reminder to be of good courage! Thank you!!
