Resting our soul in the chaos of this world is the vital thing for every Christ-follower. It does not matter how crazy things are going around – you still your soul in the light of heavenly peace. No need to try the shadow of things, no need to chase the worldly things but, instead we can go to our Father in heaven presence and receive.
Jesus was in chaos, but we learn how he kept himself fresh by meeting the Father daily. Moses was tired, the heavy-duty of taking people out of slavery. The Lord said to Moses, “Get going, you and the people you brought up from the land of Egypt.”
God was doing everything to take them to the rest-land. He sent His Angels before them; He promised them to be with them, a promise from the God of everything.
Now, the slight stumble of today, let not disturb you as the pillar of cloud leads your way to the land of rest. He led his Nation. Don’t you think he can lead you? You are heading to the territory of restoration.
The Lord said, “I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you REST- everything will be fine for you.” Exodus 33: 14 NLT
He, Himself go with you, and He gives you rest, not the kind of the rest this world gives you- short and earthly, but an everlasting one. He looks favourably on you. He knows your name- your every detail of life is known to Him. He loves you unconditionally. And His eternal rest is for you.
Moses responded, “Then show me your glorious presence.” Exodus 33:17
The Lord replied, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you. For I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” Exodus 33:19
This year is the year of complete rest for you, your family, and your loved ones if they trust God and their promises. So look above; a beautiful year of rest is coming.
