Day 4- Your Doubt = Conviction

I love the Bible, and it is the source of truth. When you open it on any page, it will speak to you. You will read about all characters; in Today’s reading, we will read about those characters they doubted. That is where their strength been proved to themselves. I collected the most famous character here for you.

Some of the people in the Bile who doubted :

Thomas Doubted the Resurrection ( John 20:24-29)

Gideon ( Judges 6-8 )

Sarah and Abraham Laugh at God’s Promise

John the Baptist who was in prison and doubted Jesus

Barak ( Judges 4-5)

Jonah, who doubted God would change the heart of a city

The Scribd brought the meaning of doubt as below :

‘the word “doubt” in the Greek that is used in the Bible is pronounced distazo. The Greek dictionary defines it as ‘to waver, hesitate and the modern English dictionary says the same.’

It is a human thing, and God knows we are from dust. It seems normal to have doubt sometimes; even the prophets man and woman had a doubt/hesitate. I do not certainly support being a people of doubt as we do not want to be double-minded. The Cross and precious Blood of Jesus brought us such clarity and certainty. As we read through the Bible, the old testament people had a doubt; the new testament people had a doubt; even Jesus own’s disciple Thomas had a doubt. God loves to bring brightness into your life. If we read the whole story, God somehow turns their distazo to conviction. He wants to do it for us. If there is a doubt about our future, he wants to show another way. We can see this conviction in his promises for us.

There is hope for your future,” says the Lord” ( Jeremiah 31:17-19)

If you doubt in your heart, I am here to say give it to God, Let Him know that” God, I doubt this, can you help me understand? Can you bring clarity to this decision? “

Focus on his good things for your life; you can not settle on doubts mind but instead have a sense of Christ. That He is in control.

“Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.” ( 2 Samuel 7:28)

There is no “doubt” in heaven. You are the child of heaven , then practice the goodness of the Lord on earth. If you have”doubt” , trust God that he brings conviction in your heart. God loves you and wants you to be freed

Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.” Matthew 11: 4-6
