God’s Mercy: A Fresh Start Each Morning

Isn’t it amazing how a new day brings a fresh start? Sometimes yesterday was tough, full of mistakes or worries. We might wake up feeling the weight of it all. But there’s this incredible truth, a comfort I’ve come to lean on deeply: God’s mercy is new every morning.

It’s not just a nice saying; it’s a living reality. Each dawn offers a clean slate, an opportunity to begin again, free from the burdens of the past. It means that no matter what we did or failed to do yesterday, His compassion doesn’t run out. It regenerates with the sun.

Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” This verse always helps me realise the boundless nature of His kindness. Think of it as a constant, gentle renewal of grace.

So, when you wake up feeling a bit wobbly, remember this promise. You don’t have to carry yesterday’s baggage into today. God’s fresh mercy is waiting for you, like the first rays of morning light, offering peace and a chance to try again. It’s a beautiful thing to know, isn’t it?

Yes, I intentionally posted it at this time because most of my readers are American. Plus, 9:00 pm Australia time is a good time for Aussies to relax and read. 💯😄❤️

  2. Praise God for his mercies are new every morning and great is his faithfulness. Darish, thank you for this encouragement.
