It takes genuine guts to champion what is true when everyone else is whispering doubts or outright disagreeing. This isn’t about being right for the sake of it, but about upholding principles you deeply believe in. It’s often easier to stay quiet, to let things slide, especially when the path of least resistance looks so inviting. Yet, a quiet voice speaking truth can be a powerful force for change. We sometimes worry about the impact on our relationships or our standing amongst peers. But compromise on truth often compromises a part of ourselves. When we stand for truth, we honour not just ourselves, but the values we hold dear.
Finding Your Courage
C.S. Lewis once wrote, “Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point.” This really resonates. It means courage isn’t just one good quality; it’s what makes all our other good qualities shine when things get tough. Knowing that we don’t stand alone can be a huge comfort. Remember, the Lord is always with us. Joshua 1:9 tells us, “Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” This reminds us to not be afraid. When you feel that nudge to speak up, listen to it. Your voice matters, and standing for truth, even quietly, creates ripples that can change things for the better.

The right message at th right time, Thank you 🙏
Hey Teri,
It’s hard to swim against the current when everyone tells you you’re going the wrong way, but the truth says you’re heading in the right direction. Isn’t that true?
This is exactly what Jesus meant when He said, “Deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Me.” We can’t do it in our own strength, we need God’s strength, and with His help, our courage grows. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. (Philippians 4:13) 🙂
