“This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. ’
Matthew 6:9-13 NIV
Remember the below five points in Lord’s prayer and apply the practice in your life and see how everything changes!
In Heaven
The immediate impact of the Father is, we will be introduced to His Holiest Presence. To enjoy being with our Father. We will enter into, not the creation we imagined, but a world in which Himself reigns forever. At the start of the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus teaches us to praise the Father who is not from this realm, but a Father who is out of our imagination, but working in us. The Father’s location is in Heaven, a place whose Kingdom is. In the same, He is actively everywhere if we seek Him, acknowledging this should be such an important part of our daily prayer. Heaven is our home. Heaven is our dwelling place, where we ( as the children of God) reign with the Father forever. Then if God dwells within us now, we will bring and shows Heaven from the inside out. And the people May know Him and enjoy the eternity of Heaven with Him.
On earth
So Jesus, Invites us to pray, a prayer that can bring the Kingdom of Heaven by Father on earth. Our Father intends to save everyone, to rescue them all as there is enough space in heaven to accommodate all His children. It is the Father’s plan On earth, we don’t want the enemy’s plan done, who wants that? We want our heavenly Father’s good plan to be done not only in heaven also, here, but I’m also on earth.
Provider
JEHOVAH JIREH who provides for His children. Yes, we work day in and day out, but He is the one who blesses and provides. I think the process of ‘humbling’ would be actively working in us, to accept it truly we are God’s labor on earth, but not the slave, we are allowed to master the wealth, that God will give us for His glory and majesty. Even, though we may have enough, thank Him because He is the source of anything and everything. So with this in mind, our needs shall be met in the blink of an eye as we trust Him. He can do that.
Forgiver
Forgiveness is a matter of letting go, either in anger or resentment or in a financial matter. God loves when we forgive someone, when we do that, we are allowing Him to get involved and we are putting God first. We are truly acknowledging that Jesus forgave us that is why we can act upon and take the first step toward forgiveness. We learned this lesson from our Father, It might be tough as a stone, but the flowing river of compassion and mercy will melt away all the hard surface.
Choose to forgive yourself and others and let God take control.
Deliverer
Dictionary.com brought as “to set free or liberate”, the last part of Jesus’ teaching about prayer is that, we set ourselves free from all the evils. Truly, we need to ask God to save us every day, although we have been saved through Jesus Christ and his job on the cross. The fight is not over as Jesus returns himself with His Glory. Until that day, we are called to pray for salvation and fight for it. Our only deliverer, Jesus Christ called us to pray for freedom and salvation to the Father, now, with this Faith in Jesus confidently we can ask the father to bless our lives.
Our face needs to show the world that our Father in heaven delivered us from the evil one.
