Jesus’s Voice or Stranger’s Voice.
We live in a world full of strange voices and noise. We are born into this world and learn to adapt to it. Without realising it, we become part of the system and are consumed by the overwhelming influence of strangers and evil. We are left with no choice but to follow what is right or wrong, and we feel trapped with no way out.
My this morning’s Bible reading got me thinking, challenge me I must come here and share it with you. In the book of John chapter 10, verse 4 says “When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.”
Jesus opens the door, as He is the gatekeeper. He let everyone out to go into” the stranger “world. But He did not leave them, he gave them a “Choice”. What choice is that?
Follow Jesus in this strange world.
To hear His voice and then follow him. So we are not alone in this giant world of strangers, he gone before us, now it is up to us to hear his voice and follow him as the next verse put this all together:
But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognise a stranger’s voice.”
Now it is your choice, it is my choice to follow His voice or Stranger.
The point is here the stranger’s voice will end to distraction and death, but Jesus’ voice is peaceful and reassuring and will end to live with Him in glory and eternal life.
Which voice are you following?
