Trusting God with Our Finances
The weight of financial worries can be really heavy, can’t it? We all experience moments of stress about bills, savings, or just making ends meet. It’s a common part of life for many of us.
I’ve realised over time that trying to carry all that burden alone is truly exhausting. There’s a different way to approach it, one that brings a surprising amount of peace and freedom. It’s about consciously choosing to trust God with our finances, just like we trust Him with other important areas of our lives.
This doesn’t mean we become irresponsible or stop planning wisely. Instead, it means we do our part with diligence and wisdom, but then we hand over the anxiety and the “how will it all work out?” questions to Him. It’s truly freeing to surrender that control. Jesus Himself spoke about this, reminding us in Matthew 6:26-27, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”
Trusting God allows us to live with open hands, receiving His provision and guidance day by day. It helps us focus on what truly matters, rather than being constantly consumed by money concerns. This journey builds a deeper reliance on Him and reveals His faithfulness in tangible ways. It’s a wonderful adventure of faith.
