Hey there, friend.
Have you ever felt like your identity was tied to what you do, or what others think of you? I know I certainly have, especially when I was younger. It’s a common struggle to constantly search for who we are in the world’s mirror. We often measure our worth by our achievements, our appearance, or even our past mistakes.
But realising our true identity in Christ changes everything. It’s a profound shift in perspective. When we place our faith in Him, we become a new creation, not defined by our earthly labels or our past behaviour. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
This means your worth isn’t something you earn; it’s a gift you receive. You are chosen, loved, and redeemed. This truth offers such freedom, allowing us to live with a confidence that isn’t shaken by circumstances. We can truly be ourselves, knowing we are perfectly fashioned and deeply cared for. It’s a beautiful realisation that shapes our whole life.
It’s a journey, of course, to fully grasp this truth day by day. But what a wonderful journey it is, discovering more of who we truly are in Him.
Your friend
Dariush Y.
