Trusting God with Our Connections
Giving God control over our relationships often feels counterintuitive, especially when we want to fix things ourselves. We spend so much energy trying to orchestrate connections, avoid hurt, or secure certain outcomes with people we care about deeply. Yet, this intense effort can leave us feeling drained and anxious.
True peace with our loved ones, our colleagues, and even potential new friends, begins when we genuinely surrender them to divine care. This doesn’t mean we become passive; it means we actively choose to believe in His good plans. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” This wisdom applies profoundly to how we navigate our human connections.
Realising God’s involvement helps us approach every interaction with a different mindset. We can release the pressure of needing perfect relationships or fearing abandonment. He understands our hearts and the hearts of others far better than we ever could. This trust allows us to love more freely, to forgive more readily, and to accept what comes with a hopeful expectation, knowing He is working everything for our ultimate good.
