For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.(Romans 6 : 23 ).
I want you go with me to Book of Romans 6.
Paul writing a letter to people of God in Rome. in the beginning of his letter , he encourages the disciples that you have received , grace , mission and Resurrection in Jesus Christ by obedient in Faith.
In several chapter after , Paul wants us to realise we are no longer slave of sin instead now we are slaves of God. How? sin, which leads to death, but obedience, which leads to righteousness. May they are big words for you. Sin and Righteousness are the Hot topic for God. And we can not ignore them as Christ and God could not ignore them, We need to deal with them.
But thank be to God , we no need to more fight to make ourselves right to God. This time by Grace. This time we raised by Jesus. No law , no rules and regulation , no need to sacrifice any animal to be sanctified. Now Jesus done on the cross for you.
If we have been united with Him in a death for sure we are one with Him in a resurrection. Now you are dead in sin BUT ALIVE for God in Christ Jesus. Do not let your mortal body tell you what to do instead let the Spirit of God lead you. Offer your body and soul to God for righteousness. You’ve been bought for a price. You are under a Grace. Free of sin. Free of sinful world. In His eternal life forever.
Now , In this century full of SEEN things or attractive how you would represent Christ? God is same. He will be. You can go far and far still you are belong to Him. You can make busy yourself with the things in this world for awhile , but you reach a point of empty. Then …
Why not turning back to Him now, Why not come to Him. All technology and new things can not be substituted of His presence . You say i do not believe eternal life, everything would be finished here. You will receive a respect from me. Christ has the solution. It’s okay, we all did not change in one day. There is no shame that Christ can not wipe it off. There is no pain that Christ do not have solution for it. Wanna gain the whole world? Gain Christ. Wanna be recover from your pain and diseases? Gain Christ. Why are you carrying the heavy stuff by yourself? Let Christ take it for you. Instead you carry the light things that God will give you.
Separated of the busy’world but somehow be in it with the Spirit of God. Be in the World but this time like a light. That’s why Paul says the law is good for the reason we have received Grace.
The free gift of God is eternal life.

This stood out for me the most these sentences. It was very enlightening. You are right we cannot let our flesh instruct us as it will only destroy us but if we are led of the Holy Spirit we have peace and life of Christ Jesus within us. I have recently meditated on us being bought at a price. It was eye opening to acknowledge that as 1 Corinthians 6 : 20 says 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.. We now live for Christ ( Galatians 2:20 ) the Newness of Life in Jesus , we should glorify God with our body and spirit. This is true worship. amen
