This question long time heading around my head and I wanted to write something about it. As I see people and some bloggers still stuck in the past and won’t let go them.
As I am reading a new book from John Maxwell named Leadershift. This book unlocking some new thoughts in me and I am trying to understand about that. John mentioned “Value your yesterday but Live in Today”. I can’t live on yesterday miracle. That was good indeed great for yesterday. I value my all accomplishments and achievements of yesterday’s. But what I have offer today need to be refreshed and new. Yes we remember where we came from and respects all traditions and cultures our family carried on , I mean then what our portion would be then? If we stuck on our yesterday sickness then what we can do with our good health today ?
God is saying time is now.
God is saying I have a new and fresh living water for you today.
The promise God given to his nation was a land of honey and milk. God looked after his nation during hardship and troubles. This is the same God we are seeking , He wants to be in our today’s blessings. I am not saying forget our entire blessings of yesterday! What I am saying is live in Today and adapts ourselves to the current circumstances. When Jesus came , He didn’t reject all the previous laws but He fulfilled them.
He completed them. Me and you need to complete our work today.
As this past might be a conflict, a bad experience, a sickness or also a miracle and blessing. God healed you? Amen. God saved you ?Amen. God turned your dead body alive?Amen.
And Amen to all breakthrough God did yesterday. What’s the next step ? What’s your portion of today? Let me create this thought in us that to be PRESENT not Prison of the yesterday.
We are acting it’s like only the yesterday exist. But the reality is our God , is the God of yesterday , today and tomorrow! He is faithful enough to work us in our today’s activities.
Some i suggest you to do :
1) Pray
2) Read Gods word evey single day
3) Do something new / fresh
4) Short trip?
5) Get a new circle of friends
6) Be around believers family
I want a fresh blessing, a new encounter and healing. I want to be immersed into his loving Love. I want to remind myself to not stuck in the past and that i need to look forward to the bright future ahead as I pass yesterday’s with honour. I encourage us to be strong in the Lord and let Go of our past and grab the new blessings of the Lord today. God’s Love is always for us. It is always within us. It is always protects us regardless of what we done yesterday.
Do we allow God’s work be done in us today? Do we allow God’s perfection flow within us ? He is the master of our soul change forever.
