Remember; Fear not!

Ruth Graham got a letter from her dad which is so much related to our today’s situation. Ruth brought this into her book called “ A legacy of faith, things I learned from my father, Billy Graham.”

” There are two little words that i have used time after time when i have faced problems, dilemmas, and even the devil. They are: ” Fear not.”

Someone has said that they are ” the divine hush for God’s children.”

All of us face problems in our lives when we need the divine hush. To Abram God said: ” Fear not, I  am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.”(Genesis 15: 1 ); and to Joshua:” Fear not, neither be thou dismayed” ( Joshua 8 : 1); and to Gideon: ” Peace be unto thee; fear not, thou shalt not die”(Judges 6:23). How often we think we would rather be dead than to have to go through with our problems and difficulties, yet God promises, ” Fear not, thou shalt not die.”

Then again: ” Fear not, for they that be with us are more than they that be with them”(2 kings 6:16). Now the devil is going to try to get you down a thousand times. he is going to work every angle. He is an old and experienced hand at discouragement, despondency, and especially in trying to sidetrack young people. But remember: “They that be with us are more than they that be with them.”

Remember Psalm 23 : 4 ” I will fear no evil for Thou art with me.”

Or remember Psalm 27:1 ” the Lord is my light and my salvation;whom shall i fear?”

Or again the Psalmist said:” The Lord is at my side, I will not fear what man can do unto me.”…

Remember…Even while you are sleeping, He is at work on your problem.”
