Asking hard questions keeps you on your feet and helps you improve your character.

For some, understanding if they are in the right place is crucial. Whether you are choosing a university to study, a course to take, moving homes, leaving the country, making a decision, or even contemplating your thoughts, it all leads to the question, “Am I in the right path?”

It could be the opposite, too; we could be in the wrong place. However, that is not the point. Whenever you are, you can change the direction and be on the right and light path. But how?

Good question. To be honest, everyone’s path is different, and everyone has their own journey. Copying from others won’t fix anything; it might provide answers for a while, but it leads to confusion. You have your run! Own it. I have my own. However, there are common things or standard patterns that should be followed along the way.

And guess what? I am not going to list them all here, but one. I just want us to pay attention to what Jesus Christ says. This is wise advice, and I believe listening to it brings clarity and healing during our painful trip of life:

“It can be found in Matthew 22:37, where Jesus says, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’”

Okay. Got it. Is this path I am on honoring God or denying Him? Is this path right in the eyes of the Lord? Is this path hurting my soul!? And let me love Jesus with all my mind!?

By asking the above questions, you allow yourself to be tested against what Jesus said. Ok, you might not listen to Him. But at least keep yourself on the right path by believing what is right in the eyes of the Lord.

We need to remember God is everywhere and watching over us. We need to allow Him to lead us to the right place by loving Him more every day. Do you believe it?

  1. What you are saying is to submit your heart to God always, through Jesus. When we humble ourselves we are able to hear and obey the voice of God. This honors God!
