What a wonderful God we serve! Pentecost was a remarkable day, marked by the presence of the Holy Spirit. It is an event that every Christian can celebrate daily, filled with the joy and love of God. I try my best to walk with the Spirit, but to be honest, it is hard. Every day is a battle; we strive to serve God and obey Him as much as we can.
Life has a beautiful face—the kind face of heaven has been offered to us. We must be kind to each other, even though life often leads us to live by our moods and feelings. Do you agree with me?
“The most important aspects of our lives cannot be rushed. We cannot love, think, eat, laugh, or pray in a hurry…When we are in a hurry—which comes from overextension—we find ourselves unable to live with awareness and kindness.” ― James Bryan Smith, The Good and Beautiful God: Falling in Love with the God Jesus Knows
If the pace of life is robbing us of the most important aspects of our being, then I should slow down, take my time, and appreciate the beauty within and around me. That is what Pentecost was about: the disciples paused, contemplated, and prayed for the outpouring of the Spirit. Would you like to be the kind of person who truly feels the life you are living? To be present with everything within you?
I know these kinds of reflections really help, don’t they? I hope you are well, my friend. Even though I do not know you, I pray for you. I pray for myself; I pray for our world. I hold the Bible and read about our Church Fathers and Sisters—those who truly lived lives of worthiness. If we are followers of Christ, well done to us. But do you walk with God?
I love what St. Augustine said: “Keep on adding, keep on walking, keep on progressing. Do not delay on the road, do not go back, do not deviate.” You can shine in this world of darkness.
Just keep going with your heads held high.
Did you know that winter is approaching here in Australia? Yes, my friend, the weather is getting colder and colder. Of course, unlike the US or European countries, we won’t be expecting snow in town, although I love the snow. It’s interesting how our seasons are opposite those in many other parts of the world.
Come and visit Australia to see the wonders and experience how lovely this country is! You might even decide to stay here, who knows? Let’s see where the Spirit leads!
I pray for you. If you need prayer, I would love to pray for you. Just comment here or send me your prayer request on the Contact page. You are never alone 🙂
