The Bible says, “I will instruct you.” This is the verse I hold onto this year, the one that has deepened my trust in God, from Psalms 32:8:
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”
Psalms 32:8 NKJV
I am thirsty for the teachings of heaven, having realised that the teachings of this world are unsatisfying—short-lived and temporary. When Jesus teaches His way and truth to me, everything changes suddenly. His teachings bring freedom that makes my soul rejoice. They provide a kind of wisdom that leads to a river of light.
If only I could sit next to God and learn in His temple. I need to learn from above. His way is not my way, and His thoughts are beyond my limited understanding. We change; our short lives on earth are like balls bouncing around, just like our minds. But God is the truth—unchanging, constant, and steadfast. His teachings remain the same today, tomorrow, and yesterday. His truth and knowledge are beyond our comprehension. The vast knowledge of God makes me wonder how He chooses to teach and lead me.
My help comes from the Lord.
His guidance is the light on my path of life. Enough of me trying to control and lead; He should be my leader. I am lost without Him. His guidance is like the shining sun in the morning, so I trust Him with all my plans—in my studies, at work, at home, and amidst the busyness of life. I remember His goodness towards me. Yes, God the Father is my teacher.
After a while, when I have learned to love through His teachings, I will be like Him
My dear friend, we are halfway through 2024. What will we learn from God? Will we let Him teach us His way? Can we hear His voice amidst the crowd?
