Everyone has walked through countless doors in their life, often without giving it much thought. But for me, there’s one door that stands out, a remarkable memory I’d like to share with you. It was a moment of divine appointment. Ready to hear this? I hope this inspires your heart and lift your spirit up. But there is something you should know beforehand: You can always find the right way, no matter how late.

I remember when I was a kid, I asked my mum, “Mum, what does the school door look like?” My little curious mind was eager to know and see it. Don’t ask me why, I’m not even sure myself! I just felt that if I could see the door, my dreams of school would somehow be fulfilled. Everyone seemed to be talking about it, and I desperately wanted to know what it looked like.

After a while, my mum took me to the school. She pointed and said, “Dariush, look! That’s the door you’ve been asking about.”

I let go of my mum’s hand and ran toward the door, touching it with both hands. It was a door, iron, painted blue, and about half the size of a soccer goal. I stared at it for a moment and then said, “That’s it? This is what everyone’s been talking about?”

I was just a naive little boy, unaware that this door was something different, unique in a way that could change my life forever. It was more than just a metal, iron-blue door. In truth, it symbolised the start of a new chapter in my life, one I could never have imagined.

Standing before that door, I felt a deep sense of safety and security. It was as if God Himself was showing me that He’d always be with me. When Jesus says He is the door, He’s inviting us to step into a place He’s lovingly and uniquely prepared for us. If I’m destined for His goodness, who am I to resist it?

Back then, I didn’t realise the world would offer so many fake doors, false promises that leave you feeling even more empty. The door of selfish desires, the door of ambition, the door of fame, the door of wealth, the door of pride, the door of “more,” the door of unforgiveness, the door of hatred, the door of cruelty, and countless others, all blinking at you, urging you to walk through.

I didn’t know any of that. I was just a kid. But God was already teaching me, shaping me to be more like Him. Despite all my flaws and mistakes, I’ve come to understand that through His sacrifice, I can be washed clean by His blood and find true life by entering through Jesus, the one true door.

Jesus is that door. He said, “If anyone enters by Me, they will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture” (John 10:9, NKJV).

I know now! I’m holding onto that door that saved my life. Through it, I can go in and out and find beautiful pastures.

You can. You can too, my dear friend, it’s never too late. If you’ve found that door long ago, hold on to it. If you haven’t yet, there’s still time; you can return and enter the one true door. Believe it or not, all the other doors are fake and lead you nowhere.
