I am speechless at the moment! The world is going in the wrong way. The trouble won’t stop knocking on the door as David’s prayed thousands of years ago, the same prayer in Psalm 10. The war brings death and chaos, which is evil and makes people separate and hatred. We can not walk with closed eyes, the media, the news, social media, TV…
But hold your heart, Our living Almighty God is not sleeping, and He has never slept. When the darkness of this world is gloming around and around- we can be a single candle in this darkness as saint Francis Assisi well said, “All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.” We are here to pray for the people in the world, whether they are in the same faith or not, All made like the image of God. Also, we need to be a candle to our brothers and sisters anywhere in the world.
Let’s pray for Ukrainian, the peace in the area, the heart of those wearing the evil cloth, for the families. The people who flee and leave their homeland for the soldiers defending their motherland because of injustice and cruel acts. Oh, for the children going through all these, for the land to be in peace as the Lord Jesus himself will return with His glory.
Do you want to be a candle in this dark world? Do you want to let your light shine? Don’t go far away, you are in the right place, Me too, I want to be a light, I want to be salt of the world, when there is an injustice, where there is oppression, we can be, be the one stand firm to lift them in our prayers and thoughts. If you know someone tells their names in your prayer, find out if you can contact them, find a way to support and help; your word of comfort brings peace in their hearts in this devastating situation.
Father God, we break the power of darkness in Jesus’ Name, We push away all darks – with your Mighty Hands we stand firm, We have peace, we have strength, we have comfort in You Lord that you see and know everything, please show your face, please awake us, please protect your people in Ukraine, in any possible way, this is out of our hand Lord, you have control of everything. Be with them in this very tough time that they may know they are not alone. Thank you for hearing and thank for healing our broken world again. Let your Holy Spirit provide and protect us. Amen.
