You Are Awesome

A while ago, when I was driving to church, the Holy Spirit suddenly dropped a thought into my heart and said:

“Do you see that car, Dariush?”

I replied, “Yes, Lord, I see it.”

He continued, “That car’s battery will need to be changed after a while, or it won’t be able to go any further. You are on your way to church now to recharge your spirit—you need Me. Come closer.”

Something ignited inside of me—it shook me to the core. The Holy Spirit wants to lead, refresh, and recharge our lives. We need Him so much that our very existence depends on Him. Just as a fish needs water to breathe, every cell in our body needs His love.

As you go about your daily life, remember that He is with you. He is the center of everything. God sees your future more clearly than you ever could. If you invite Him in and walk with Him, He will lead you like a shepherd guiding his sheep.

“Teach me Your way, Lord,

that I may rely on Your faithfulness;

give me an undivided heart,

that I may fear Your name.”

— Psalm 86:11

Today, tell God: “Lead me, direct me in the way I should go. I don’t know, but You do—you have all knowledge and understanding. Lord, I desire Your wisdom and peace. Fill me with Your presence, so that I may know the wonderful plan You have for my life.”

Would you let the Holy Spirit speak to you? Would you invite Him to your table?
